I grew up in a family in which political activism and art go hand in hand.

These two things are both my birthright and my passion.

My great uncle, David Alfaro Siqueiros, was a renowned and controversial Mexican muralist.

His work depicts the plight of the poor and disenfranchised.

I painted my first mural at age 3... in the hallway of my childhood home. This was definitely not a "commissioned" piece.

However, my mother, Ofelia, encouraged me to explore my artistic curiosity by supplying me with paper and pencils and paints.

My father, Carlos Siqueiros, was the hands-on political activist.

He worked side by side with Cezar Chavez to help organize The United Farm Workers Union.

I loved going with him to see Cezar and his other political friends.

It was inspirational. I learned through these experiences that everyone is equal.

We are the same: united by a common bond - our humanity - our human rights.

As a teenager, I was selected out of thousands of my peers to display my work at the Triton Museum of Art in Santa Clara, CA and received an Outstanding Participation Award.

In 1989 I was a volunteer for the American Cancer Society as an art director and councilor for children with cancer. Two years ago, I was chosen to participate in the Community of Angels Project 2000.

My paintings, murals and sculpture are owned by such notables as: Tom Johnson of CNN and actors Charlie Sheen and Woody Harrelson.

I am presently establishing a mural movement for teenage youth to display their talents for public viewing.

Privately I am developing a series of interactive sculptured paintings.
